We all wish to receive blessings. We all want to be shaped and molded by God. We all claim that we want to be more like Christ.
I believe it, and there’s nothing wrong with it. In reality, they are necessities to a certain extent, but I think we don’t fully understand what we are asking or what is to be expected, in order to get what we want.
-We want blessings, but blessings can come at a cost. Nothing is free but salvation and favor.
-We want to be shaped and molded, but do we really understand the pain that comes with that process?
-We want to be more like Christ, well Christ endured many things that tested His character and faith. Are we ready to be tested?
We often don’t sit back and think about the process of getting what we are asking for. In this generation, we are so used to having things now, getting to places quickly, and making money fast. Now while these are pretty convenient advances, they do provide us with some downfalls and disadvantages. To list a couple, this generation has spoiled us and stripped us of our patience. We want what we want and we want it when we want it and if God doesn’t give us what we want when we want it, we have the nerve to doubt God, or be upset with Him. I feel, we unconsciously see God as a genie, a Santa Claus, or even a sugar daddy…
Genie Santa Sugar Daddy
…Who is supposed to just bless us and give us what we ask because He loves us. But He is not a genie, or Santa or a sugar daddy. HE IS GOD!
YES, God does love us and that is why He is patient enough with us to allow us to go through a process that produces an even better version of us that is able to receive blessings like never before, a better version of us that has been shaped and molded to bring glory to God, and a new version of us that is more like His Son, Jesus Christ.
In this series I am going to breakdown what I’ve recently been learning about the process.
I’ve broken the process down into four segments:
pt. 1 BLESSINGS
pt. 2 GOD’S TIMING
pt. 3 PAIN IN THE PROCESS
(conviction vs condemnation)
pt. 4 DELIVERANCE vs DEVELOPMENT
“Allow me to reintroduce myself.”
I will also be discussing the 7 P’s of the process
