In Psalm 27:3, David says,
“THOUGH an army deploys against me, my heart is not afraid; though a war breaks out against me, STILL I am confident.”
Psalms 27:3 HCSB
We must have a STILL in our spirit. An attitude that says, “even though ____ is happening or has happened I will STILL be confident, I will STILL rejoice, I will STILL praise the Lord.”
Our situations do not have the power or permission to dictate our spiritual state unless we allow them to. Don’t allow what’s going on around you to control what happens within you.
Don’t just speak to your situation, speak to your soul. David asked, “why are you so downcast/depressed o my soul?”(Psalm 42:5,12). He then commanded his soul, “put your hope in God, for I will STILL praise Him”.
We have to have a made up mind that regardless how our flesh feels or how our soul feels, we will STILL rejoice! We will STILL praise the Lord!!
It doesn’t matter what your situation may be telling you, tell your situation and your soul what they will do!! Christ gave you the power to do so. (Proverbs 18:21, Matthew 18:18 & Mark 11:23)
